The DJI RS 3 is a revolutionary camera stabiliser in that it is one of the only solutions of its size to incorporate an automated axis locking system. Folding and unfolding like an Osmo Mobile-type smartphone stabiliser, the RS 3 is easy to use because it can be stored quickly and deployed in record time. Although compact, the DJI RS 3 incorporates an impressive 1.8-inch colour screen, where many of the parameters previously reserved for the DJI Ronin mobile application are present.
Capable of carrying a payload of up to 3 kg, the DJI RS 3 is a device that can handle the majority of today's audiovisual systems. What's more, it features 3rd-generation Ronin algorithms, which offer 20% better stabilisation than the DJI RSC 2. The DJI RS 3 is capable of triggering the shutter of the camera it carries intelligently and wirelessly, via Bluetooth. It will now be possible to start and stop shooting from the stabiliser with a single click, reducing the number of wires in the installation.
Finally, the DJI RS 3 has a maximum battery life of 12 hours, using the DJI BG21 battery. Removable, it is possible to own several batteries to extend the user experience. This brand-new BG21 battery is very compact, so if you detach it from the DJI stabiliser and fold it up, the whole thing fits easily into even a small rucksack.
